Patina Patina PatinaMiller played the role of Lead Player in The Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's famous 1972 musical "Pippin". It was the Tony Award winning director Diane Paulus directed "Pippin" that also starred Matthew James Thomas and Andrea Martin. Terrence Mann and Matthew James Thomas were the actors who also starred. Patina played the character of Ben Vereen, an award-winning actor. She also masterfully mastered Fosse's movements which are so crucial to the show. Her performance was recognized with a Tony Award in the category of Outstanding Actress in a Leading Role Musical. The Outer Critics Circle Award was as well in recognition of Outstanding Actress. In the past, she played the role of the Lead Player in the American Repertory Theater production of "Pippin" in November 2012 to January 2013. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
